Biography
I am Na’Tosha De’Von, an MFA actor from the University of Arkansas and published poet who holds a Bachelor's degree in Speech Communication & Theatre from Jackson State University. I originate from Chicago, IL, and was raised in Mississippi. I believe the purpose of my art is to expose and heal. One cannot heal the parts that are broken if they do not see them. So the exposure, while brutal, is a necessary madness. I would like to think the first words I ever spoke were in the form of a metaphor. With that, I acknowledge the power of words. My love for language has allowed me to develop poetry and take on the nuances of characters as an actor. I have spent my acting career focusing on Classical and Non-classical texts. The most important thing about me is that I am literally the funniest person everyone knows! You only don't feel that way because you haven't met me.
An actor, a poet, and a writer walk into a bar. They're all late for work. (Surprise!) This is their day job. Get it? See what I did there?
